Halcyon Bears is based in Torquay on the English Riviera in Glorious Devon. The shop has been selling teddy bears for over 13 years from premises in the pedestrian shopping precinct in Fore Street, St. Marychurch, Torquay.
The web site has been running for several years. However it has recently been re-designed to make it more user friendly and easier to update – we now have a fully functioning online shop with a basket ordering system but haven’t yet added online credit or debit card transactions. You can however order online – we just complete the payment process by telephone, post or e-mail.
If you like the new look site please tell us. We already have many satisfied customers and our reputation for personal and friendly service is really important to us.
The business of Halcyon Bears and our other collectibles is run by a family team. Chris and Jill take the financial responsibility but Diana manages the shop and looks after our bears on a day-to-day basis.
Are you a Miss Marple fan?
Agatha Christie lived and wrote her books just a few miles away. It is generally accepted that the home village of Miss Marple, St. Mary Mead, was based on our own St. Marychurch. Unfortunately there are no teddy bears playing a leading part in her stories! |
